Fortress Maze

Overview

Fortress Maze is a free strategy game designed for families. Your privacy matters to us. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding that information.

The short version: we collect almost nothing, we don't show ads, and we don't sell or share your data with anyone.

What we collect

When you use Fortress Maze, the following data is collected:

• Anonymous player ID — a randomly generated identifier created when you first open the app. This is not linked to your name, email, phone number, or any personal information.
• Game statistics — your wins, losses, games played, total moves, fortresses hit, and flawless wins, tied to your anonymous ID.
• Game analytics — aggregate counts of games played by mode and variant, total moves, and fortresses hit across all players. This data is not tied to individual players and cannot be used to identify anyone.

What we do NOT collect

• Names, email addresses, or phone numbers
• Location or GPS data
• Photos, contacts, or device information
• Advertising or tracking identifiers
• Biometric data of any kind

Third-party services

Fortress Maze uses Google Firebase for anonymous authentication and game data storage. Firebase may process your anonymous player ID and game data on its servers. No other third-party services are used. You can review Google's privacy policy at policies.google.com/privacy.

Advertising

Fortress Maze does not contain any advertising. We do not use ad networks, tracking pixels, or any form of behavioral tracking. This will never change.

Online play

When you play online, temporary game room data is created on our servers to facilitate the match. This data includes fortress placements, moves, move timestamps, and the anonymous player IDs of both participants. Game room data is deleted when a player leaves the match through the app. If both players close the app without formally leaving, room data may persist until it is cleaned up by server-side maintenance.

Data retention

Your anonymous game statistics are stored indefinitely to preserve your win/loss record. Since these statistics are tied to an anonymous ID with no link to your real identity, they cannot be used to identify you. You may request deletion of your data at any time by contacting us.

Children's privacy

Fortress Maze is designed for players of all ages, including children. We are committed to protecting children's privacy and complying with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA).

We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 beyond an anonymous player identifier used solely for game functionality. We do not serve ads, do not share data with third parties for commercial purposes, and do not use data for marketing or profiling.

Parents or guardians may contact us at any time to review, request deletion of, or refuse further collection of their child's data.

Your rights

You have the right to:

• Request a copy of any data associated with your anonymous player ID
• Request deletion of your data
• Ask questions about our privacy practices

Changes to this policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
